Logging Module
The Logging module runs on the laptop, netbook or workstation allowing for easy and intuitive data capture. Using disciplined workflows and validation rules, data integrity is enforced at the point of capture. This results in improved accuracy of data capture and decreased data management time. A single application of LogChief can include multiple configurations for specific tasks such as geological and geotechnical logging, sample dispatch and environmental monitoring.

Synchronisation
- LogChief can synchronise back to the database by simply placing the PDA into a cradle connected to the configured PC or laptop. The data will be automatically synchronised from the PDA to your DataShed database.

Administration Module
The local LogChief database schema is initially set up in the administrator module from the master database using an easy to follow configuration wizard. Data capture configurations are built following the wizard’s directions, selecting tables and fields required for specific tasks. The result is that a single LogChief can be used for gathering data across a variety of mining or exploration activities, all with the referential integrity essential for synchronisation with the master database. Specific user requirements are set up using the profile wizard such as import/export directories, case sensitivity, hiding columns and utilising various logging grid defaults.
